A professional diagram is broken down into three crucial sub-circuits: the air flow system, the lubrication oil loop, and the control electronics system. Within the air flow system, atmospheric air is drawn through a high-precision intake filter to eliminate particulates. From there, it enters the twin-rotor assembly (the air-end) through the intake valve. Here, the asymmetrical profile of the rotors reduces the volume of the cavity, compressing the air and discharging it into the separator tank.
Simultaneously, the oil loop performs three critical tasks: sealing the micro-gaps between the rotors, cooling down the heat generated by compression, and lubricating the mechanical bearings. The compressed air-oil mixture is forcefully separated in a multi-stage oil separator vessel, dropping the oil carryover rate to less than 3 ppm. After passing through a thermal valve and cooling radiator, the cooled lubricant is filtered and reinjected back into the air-end. Analyzing these processes in detail on a piping diagram is key to maximizing thermodynamic efficiency and prolonging bearing life.
